WORK EXPERIENCE
Senior Devops Engineer / Technical Lead (Backup)
Cimpress India
09/2020 - Present, Mumbai, India
Cimpress seeks to develop an innovative e-commerce platform for mass customisation, enhancing the customer experience for personalised
product purchases. My role as a Senior DevOps Engineer was to ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, security, and continuous
improvement, ultimately delivering a superior shopping experience to customers.
Proficient in AWS for administering, and fine-tuning services such as ALB, ASG, EC2, IAM, S3, ElasticBeanStalk, ECR, EKS,
Lambda, Route53, CloudFront, etc. Adept at automating end-to-end AWS cloud deployments.
Implemented container orchestration using AWS EKS for microservices-driven applications. Conducted routine updates
of K8s versions, fine-tuned cluster node capacity for optimal resource utilisation and leveraging cluster autoscaler for
dynamic scaling.
Streamlined the provisioning of over 20 AWS cloud resources, reducing setup time by 60% and yielding cost savings.
Achieved a remarkable 95% compliance score while also enabling 75% faster deployments through Terraform.
Implemented on-demand 'Preview Environments' on EKS, leveraging Helm and Lambda (triggered upon PR initiation).
This framework enabled proactive code testing by developers and QA, safeguarding staging environments, and resulting
in early bug detection and stakeholder feedback aggregation, significantly enhancing developer efficiency and
improving release processes.
Developed Helm charts to orchestrate infrastructure components, including pods, services, and ingress during
microservice deployments on AWS EKS. Additionally, Used Helm charts to set up various other components such as
ingress-nginx, aws-load-balancer-controller, efs-provisioner, external-dns, and more on the EKS platform.
Managed the migration of over 200 projects on Bitbucket. Crafted usage guidelines and optimised branching strategies,
benefiting 120+ team members. Boosted code quality by 20% through Sonar integrations on Bitbucket.
Utilised New Relic Synthetics for 20% faster API failure detection. Optimised capacity planning with monitoring insights.
Integrated with Lambda and Kubernetes. Led root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Significantly improved security and cost efficiency using AWS Tag-based Service Control Policies . This allowed us to
achieve a 75% resource compliance rate, reducing unauthorised access and optimising cost management.
Efficiently coordinated/executed tasks to resolve vulnerabilities reported by AquaSec/Orca. Through these efforts, we
achieved a reduction of up to 90% in identified issues, enhancing our overall security and minimising potential threats.
Implemented Varnish Cache Server, resulting in a 60% reduction in website load times. This enhancement contributed
to a 30% overall performance improvement, ensuring a faster and more responsive user experience.
